This changed everything for Blakeney, inspiring her to start her food blog and online magazine, Real Food Scout , and offering workshops about healthy eating. I was devastated to learn how our bad health habits are harming our children, Blakeney said. I felt an immense urge to make a change in my life and to help others do the same. I felt if I, an unhealthy Texan with no interest or palate for health food, could do it, then anyone could do it and I was going to show them how.” Blakeney involves her children in every aspect of food, from shopping to cooking.
